Wheat Pumpkin Muffins

 It's Halloween so pumpkin is necessary.

 These are a really great healthy muffin.

1 3/4 cup whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 cup pecan mean (Flaxseed, bran)
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon

1/3 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 cup buttermilk (1/2 cup milk + 1/2 T lemon)
2 eggs slightly beaten
1/4 cup applesauce

+ raisins or chocolate chips

Poor wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon

Cook on 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes
